Russian-Belarusian Institute of Advanced Technologies Is Being Established on the Basis of KAI

The decision has been confirmed during the meeting of the Academic Council of KNRTU-KAI.

On April 2nd, 2021, it is the 25th anniversary of the signing of the treaty on the “Formation of the Community of Belarus and Russia”. On this day, during the grand meeting dedicated to the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia, it is planned to sign a trilateral agreement on the establishment of the Russian-Belarusian Institute of Advanced Technologies (RBIAT).

RBIAT is being established at two universities - Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev-KAI and Belarusian National Technical University.

The initiative of creating RBIAT, aimed at promoting promising areas of engineering education involving capacities of Russian and Belarusian universities, has been supported by the Standing Committee of Union State.

The main idea of RBIAT opening is to develop a skilled workforce through the implementation of joint academic programs, joint scientific research and development for high-technology economic sector of the Union State.

The work on the establishment of RBIAT is divided into several stages. It is planned to develop common curricula for all levels of higher education, independent educational standards. The launch of the first joint academic programs is scheduled to take place on September 1st, 2022.
