My Student Years: Damira Osadchaya

Damira Osadchaya, graduate of KAI Faculty of Computing and Control Systems (Institute of Computer Technologies and Information Security). She is currently the director of the College of Information Technologies.

- Student years are the most special and indeed memorable periods of my life, filled with wide range of exciting events; especially when you are a student of one of KAI’s prestigious institutes and the brand new faculty No. 9, which is the Computing and Control Systems Faculty, - shares her memories Damira Osadchaya.

Besides studying, the Soviet Union Youth Organization Komsomol, which gathered all the enthusiastic young people under its umbrella, occupied me the most.

As part of extracurricular activities, my student group No. 4205 participated in the competition for the best academic group of the university. Everything was taken into account, including the academic performance, social life. Of course, we wanted to become the best, and, after all, everything came off with flying colors!

KAI has always been known for its close-knit atmosphere within the walls of the university, and the most vivid illustration of it is a student construction brigade, which has been the school of life for sure: first earned money, new friends, acquired profession of a stucco worker.

One cannot but recall our field trips to the leading enterprises in different cities of Soviet Union (Leningrad, Riga, etc.) in order to immerse ourselves into the manufacturing process, and just to enjoy a new city as well.

For me personally, KAI is family of like-minded people, friends. As the famous motto states: “If you see a person with a KAI badge - you have met a true friend and a brother.”
